Using the Map

Step 1. Download the latest imagery

On the home screen you will see available maps that can be downloaded.

These will begin downloading automatically.

Ensure they are fully downloaded before going offline. You know they are fully downloaded when you have a green tick on the right hand side.

Step 2: Open the map

Open the HazView app and select the map screen from the home area.
Your site imagery loads with all active hazards displayed.

Step 2. Move around the map

Use one finger to drag the map.
Use two fingers to zoom in or out.
You can zoom to any part of the site to inspect hazards more closely.

Step 3. Select a hazard

Tap any hazard icon to open its details.
Swipe up on mobile to see all the information including description, photos, actions, controls and TARP rating.

Step 4. Turn layers on or off

Select the Layers button on the right hand side of the screen to control what information is visible.
You can toggle hazard types, inspections, checklists, areas and other map items depending on your site setup.

Step 6. View past hazards

Select the Feature Statuses to show previously resolved or misreported hazards.

Step 7. Offline mode

Maps may load slowly if you have low reception, you can activate offline mode by selecting the connection icon on the top left. This will use your offline maps which will load much faster. Remember to turn this back on to sync.

Tips

• Layers help reduce clutter when working in busy areas. Turn off the ones you don't need to see
• You can view full sized images when online by selecting any photo thumbnail

Troubleshooting

• If the map will not load, check your network connection or allow time for offline mode to initialise
• If hazards appear outdated, refresh the app
• If layers do not toggle, close and reopen the map screen
• If your location dot does not show, confirm your device has location permissions enabled
