How to complete an inspection

Overview

Inspections are completed directly from the HazView map. Different inspection types will create a coloured halo around the hazard/features icon.

When to Use

• During statutory inspections
• When verifying recent hazard updates
• When completing travel routes or production areas

Complete an Inspection

Step 1. Open the map

Open the HazView app and navigate to the map screen.

Step 2. Select the hazard/feature you want to inspect

Tap on an icon to see that hazard/features details.
You should confirm all details, descriptions and controls are correct.
Update any as required by tapping on the property you want to change.
The ability to edit details, add photos and make changes are based on the users 'Role'.

OCE/Supervisor inspections will show as an orange button.
Auxiliary inspections will show for users with the correct 'Role' and will have their own associated colour.
Inspections record:
  1. Users first and last name.
  2. Time
  3. Date
Inspections DO NOT record the users location at the time of inspection.

Tips

• Inspections work offline
• Any changes will automatically sync when you have an internet connection and open HazView
• Inspections log the current time and date. You can't add a time/date in the past.

Troubleshooting

• If hazards will not open, allow a moment for offline caching to load
• If changes are not showing up ensure you have synced the latest changes from your device and have a tick indicating the latest data is available.
