Overview
Hazards and Features in HazView cannot be deleted. Instead, their visibility is changed so they are not seen on the active map by changing their status.
A hazard can be resolved, marked as inactive or flagged as misreported. All changes are recorded for audit history and can be viewed later in the archive.
When to Remove a Hazard or feature
- The hazard/feature has been is no longer present
- The hazard/feature was reported incorrectly
- The hazard/feature is no longer relevant to operations
- A duplicate hazard/feature was created
How to Remove a Hazard

Step 1. Open the map
Open HazView and navigate to the map screen.
Locate the hazard you want to modify.
Step 2. Select the hazard/feature
On the map, select the hazard/feature you are interested in to see its details.
Step 3. Select the hazard/feature status
This will be the first tile below any images.
Users with the ability to change hazard/feature statuses can click on it to make edits.

You can choose one of the following statuses:
- Active (present hazards)
- Resolved (no longer exists)
- Inactive (exists but is dormant / inaccessible. This should rarely be used as the hazard will disappear from the map unless users have inactive hazards view activated)
- Misreported (added by mistake)

Once submitted, confirm the hazard or feature is showing when the appropriate Feature Status is activated.
