Notification controls (and who gets an email)

Administrators can control which users receive notifications for what changes.

For example, all TARP2 hazard changes can send a notification to all geotechnical engineers.

Step 1. Select the Settings button

  • For PC and Tablets, the Settings button will be on the top left hand side of the screen.
  • For Mobile, the Settings button will be at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2. Define Roles

  • Current roles are shown at the bottom of the user table in the User tab.
  • You can add new roles as required.

Step 3. Assign Roles to Staff

  • In the Users table, select the roles cell.
  • A drop down menu will open that allows you to assign the appropriate role.

HazView allows the customization of notifications per role.

Step 1. Go to the Hazards and Features tab.

  1. From within the Hazards and Features tab, select the appropriate rating system.
    1. The rating system is assigned to specific hazard types e.g. TARP for geotechnical hazards.
    2. If you wish for a TARP2 or TARP3 rating to send an email, you can customise this.

  1. Select the edit rating tier button.
  2. Assign the appropriate notifiable roles.
    1. These roles will receive an email when a Hazard is raised with that rating.
