How to Upload New Site-Wide Imagery


New map tiles can be uploaded by users with Administration privileges. These map tiles will be processed and hosted automatically by the HazView map tile infrastructure.

Step 1. Access the Settings and Appropriate Imagery

To manage your sites maps, navigate to Maps and GIS from within the Admin menu (Figure 44). If a user does not have admin privileges, they will not be able to access this menu.

Inside the Maps and GIS settings you will have two options (Example imagery comparison in Figure 45):
  1. Configure Master Imagery
    1. This is your sites aerial imagery.

  1. Configure Hillshade Imagery
    1. This is your sites hillshade imagery.

Step 2: Upload the imagery

To add new site-wide imagery, select Mastery Imagery or Hillshade Tiles. You will have a module to Upload Imagery (Figure 46).
Click the “Select File” button and select the appropriate image for upload. magery file requirements:
  1. Geotiff (.tif, .tiff)
    1. A single georeferenced TIFF file with embedded coordinate information.
  2. ZIP Archive (.zip)
    1. A compressed folder containing one or more georeferenced images
    2. Use this for:
      1. Multiple GeoTIFF files
      2. GeoJPEG files (JPEG with accompanying world files)
        1. .jgw
        2. .jpg
        3. .prj
  3. Maximum Size: 7gb

Once the upload begins, HazView will automatically process the job. The imagery will instantly be available to all users once the upload has finished processing. The job confirmation will be visible in the Completed Layers tab on the right.
